Uzmetkombinat purchases equipment for US$6.85m

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzmetkombinat joint stock company purchased technological metallurgy equipment for US$6.85 million, the press service of the company stated.

The equipment was purchased within the investment project “Update of metallurgy combine”.

Within the project, the combine conducts wide-scale work on replacing old equipment to new modern one, the company added.

In line with approved schedule for 2014, the company should acquire equipment for US$4 million, but it bought equipment for US$6.85 million.

The combine said that re-equipment of the capacities will help to decreases production expenditure and increase profitability of Uzmetkombinat, increase production volume and improve quality of products, decrease volume of emission to atmosphere.
