Tashkent to host second Uzbekistan-Korea energy forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The second Uzbekistan-Korea International Energy Forum, officially named the Energy Value Networks Forum, is preparing to open in the capital of Uzbekistan.

The large-scale bilateral event will take place in Tashkent between 30 June and 1 July 2026. The business event is organized with the official support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The South Korean energy corporation Korea Western Power and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) are serving as the direct organizers and initiators of the meeting.

The international forum is expected to become an authoritative and highly demanded dialogue platform aimed at strengthening interstate cooperation. The event will bring together responsible representatives of relevant government agencies of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, top managers of leading energy companies from both countries, as well as prominent international experts, analysts, and major foreign investors.

The main stated objective of the meetings is to create favorable conditions for building new long-term partnerships and developing strategic initiatives.

The attention of the participants at the two-day convention will focus on key trends and challenges in the modern industry. Delegates will discuss in detail the practical implementation of advanced, highly efficient energy technologies, the accelerated development of the renewable energy sources sector, and comprehensive measures to improve the overall energy efficiency of industrial facilities.

A separate block of discussions will be dedicated to mechanisms for expanding direct investment cooperation and launching new joint projects in the energy sector within Uzbekistan.
