Uzhydromet forecasts warm and dry September in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — September in Uzbekistan is expected to be relatively dry and moderately warm, with average temperatures close to the climatic norm, Uzhydromet said. Temperatures in some areas could reach 37 degrees Celsius at the beginning of the month, while the south of the country could see 38-40 degrees Celsius.

During the first 10 days of September, mostly clear and dry weather is forecast across most of the country. Nighttime and early morning temperatures are expected to range from 15-20 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will rise to 30-35 degrees Celsius. On some days, temperatures could reach 37 degrees Celsius. In the south, temperatures could rise to 38-40 degrees Celsius on the warmest days.

During the second and third 10-day periods of the month, temperatures are expected to become somewhat cooler and remain relatively stable. Nighttime temperatures are forecast at 10-15 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will range from 25-30 degrees Celsius. Forecasters do not rule out short-term temperature fluctuations in either direction.

Rainfall is expected to be infrequent in September. Light rain is possible on only a few days, averaging one to three days during the month. The likelihood of rain will remain low in southern Uzbekistan.

Monthly precipitation across most of the country is forecast to remain below the climatic norm. In some areas of the Ferghana Valley, rainfall could be around the norm.

In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, precipitation is instead expected to be above or around the climatic norm.

Overall, according to the Uzhydromet forecast, September will be characterized by warm and predominantly dry weather, with the highest temperatures expected at the beginning of the month and in the south of the country.
