Uzbektelecom Supervisory Board appoint new director-general

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Supervisory Board of Uzbektelecom joint-stock company, national telecommunication operator of Uzbekistan, appointed Shukhrat Sadikov, 39, to the post of director-general of the company.

Mr. Sadikov replaces Hakim Muhitdinov, who was appointed as the first deputy director-general of the Uzbek Agency for Information and Communication on 26 September in line with the decision of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov.

Prior to appointment, Mr. Sadikov served as deputy director-general of Uzbektelecom on financial issues.

Nazirjon Hasanov, 38, was appointed as replacement for Sadikov. Earlier, Hasanov worked as the first deputy director of Andijan Telecom.
