Uzbektelecom cuts internet prices for ISPs

Uzbektelecom joint stock company cut internet services (external channel) for internet service providers up to US$442 per 1 Mbps from 21 May 2012.
In 2012, the company decreased prices five times. The price fell to US$500 per 1 Mbps on 20 January 2012and US$495 on 2 February 2012, to US$95 on 13 April and to US$457 on 30 April. From 21 May, the price now is $442.
The company recalled that tariffs for internet services for ISPs decreased by 13.1% in 2012.
Uzbektelecom decreased tariffs for internet services for ISPs nine times. The price for 1 MB of Internet was US$849 in early 2011 and decreased to US$529 in December 2011.
