Uzbekneftegaz and China ink documents for US$5bn

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekneftegaz (Uzbek Oil and Gas) signed ten contracts for US$5 billion with the Chinese partners within the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China, Chairperson of the Board of National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz Alisher Sultanov said.

He said that one of important documents is a three-year contract on export of the Uzbek gas to China. Alisher Sultanov did not mention the contract sum or the volume of exported gas.

Uzbekneftegaz chief added that the credit agreement with the China Development Bank for US$1.2 billion was signed. The funds will be directed to construction of GTL-plant in Shurtan district of Kashkadarya region.

Uzbekneftegaz also signed a document with the Chinese company on creation of the joint venture on production of bio gas facilities.
