Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's public procuring entities signed 1,099,305 contracts worth a total of 188.4 trillion soums in the first half of 2026.

An analysis and optimization of procurement procedures generated budget savings of 7.2 trillion soums, according to the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement.

Tashkent accounted for the largest share of public procurement, with contracts totaling 77.7 trillion soums, or 41% of the overall volume.

Navoi region ranked second with procurement worth 34.3 trillion soums, or 18% of the total, followed by Tashkent region with 17.2 trillion soums, or 9%.

Among budget-funded procuring entities, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education ranked first, awarding contracts worth 13.45 trillion soums. It was followed by the Ministry of Transport with procurement totaling 10.98 trillion soums and the Ministry of Water Resources with 7.01 trillion soums.

Among corporate procuring entities, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company JSC recorded the largest procurement volume at 21.78 trillion soums.

Other major corporate procuring entities included Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Company JSC with procurement worth 8.42 trillion soums, Uzbekneftegaz JSC with 6.47 trillion soums, and Navoiyuran JSC with 5.82 trillion soums.
