Uzbekistan’s glass industry increases output by 19.7% in 2014

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Enterprises of glass industry of Uzbekistan produced industrial goods for 439.8 billion soums in 2014, which increased by 19.7% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The committee said that production of glassware for pharmaceutical industry rose by 1.6 times. At the same time, production of glass bottles grew by 1.2 times, jars, stoppers, lids and other glass closures – 6.3%.
