FESCO launches new rail service to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — FESCO Transport Group has launched a new rail service, the FESCO Caravan Shuttle, to deliver containerized cargo from cities in China to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan via the Dostyk and Altynkol land border crossings.

The first batch of light industry goods was dispatched from the Chinese city of Xi'an to the Chukursay station in Tashkent. The total transit time for the shipment was 14 days.

The new service is designed to transport a wide range of containerized cargo, including consumer goods, industrial products, equipment, components, and other types of freight.

Alexey Kravchenko, Executive Director of FESCO Integrated Transport, a subsidiary of FESCO, noted that the launch of the FESCO Caravan Shuttle is part of the group's strategy to develop its business in Central Asia. According to him, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan currently rank among the most promising logistics markets in the region.

He emphasized that FESCO already operates its own offices in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, alongside an extensive network of representative offices in China, allowing the company to offer comprehensive logistics solutions from the major industrial and economic hubs of the People's Republic of China. Looking ahead, the group intends to expand its transport geography and service portfolio in the region.

In June 2026, FESCO also announced the opening of a new office in the Chinese city of Chengdu. Its operations will focus on expanding rail container transport between China, Russia, Belarus, and Central Asian countries.
