Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent has launched an electronic system for approving excavation and repair works, the installation of utility networks, temporary traffic restrictions and the closure of certain areas.
Residents and businesses can submit applications through the order.tashkent.uz portal. The service allows them to obtain approval for planned works from the relevant organisations in advance and ensure that the work is carried out safely.
According to the authorities, unauthorised excavation can cause traffic congestion, obstruct pedestrians, damage underground utilities and disrupt the operation of public utility services.
Excavation and repair works in public areas are prohibited without the appropriate permit.
Violations of the established procedures are subject to liability.
