Uzbekistan to toughen entrance rules for foreign cargo transporters

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Government of Uzbekistan adopted decision to toughen rules of entrance for foreign cargo transporters from 1 August 2012.

From 1 August 2012, foreign cargo transporters will not be able to enter Uzbekistan without corresponding permission.

Foreign cargo transported should apply to the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport in advance to receive permission papers for international automobile cargo transportation.

The applications will be received and processed in line with national legislation of Uzbekistan and bilateral agreements.

Up to 1 August 2011, entrance and transit of foreign cargo transporters to Uzbekistan will be conducted within the existing scheme.
