Uzbekistan's tourism potential showcased on leading Georgian media platforms

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Georgia, the informational promotion of the republic's tourism potential has been intensified across the Georgian media market.

The campaign aims to strengthen humanitarian ties between the two countries, increase the recognition of Uzbekistan's tourism brand, and attract new tourist flows.

One of the key elements of the information campaign was a special television feature broadcast on the Georgian Public Broadcaster.

It showcased the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, UNESCO World Heritage sites, contemporary tourist routes, national cuisine, and opportunities for cultural, educational, gastronomic, and event tourism.

Special attention in the broadcast was paid to the rapid development of the country's tourism infrastructure. It emphasized that Uzbekistan is one of the most dynamically developing tourist destinations in the region, thanks to a visa-free regime for citizens of a number of states, the expansion of a network of modern hotels, high-speed rail links, and the implementation of large-scale hospitality projects.

The promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism potential in the Georgian media became a practical result of negotiations between the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Umidjon Akkulov, and the Director General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster, Tinatin Berdzenishvili.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of tourism information support.

In particular, an agreement was reached to organize familiarization tours to Uzbekistan for Georgian journalists, television production crews, and popular bloggers. This will allow foreign audiences to learn about the country's tourism opportunities through firsthand reports and digital content.

Furthermore, the sides intend to develop the exchange of television programs, documentaries, and video materials on tourism topics, as well as promote joint content through national television channels and digital platforms of both states.

Experts note that utilizing international media platforms is becoming one of the most effective tools for promoting a national tourism brand.

Demonstrating the natural, cultural, and historical potential of Uzbekistan in foreign media contributes to forming a positive image of the country, expanding the geography of tourist flows, and strengthening the republic's position on the global tourism market.

Expanding cooperation with Georgian media is viewed as another step in implementing the strategy for the international promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism potential, which is aimed at increasing inbound tourism, boosting the country's recognition on the global market, and strengthening Uzbek-Georgian humanitarian ties.
