Uzbekistan to Temporarily Limit Train Speeds Due to Heat
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan will temporarily introduce speed restrictions on certain sections of its railway network due to exceptionally hot weather, railway operator Temiryo'lexpress said.
The company said the measure is intended to ensure the safety of passengers and train operations while maintaining the stable and reliable functioning of railway infrastructure during periods of high temperatures.
According to the operator, the restrictions will apply to selected sections of the railway where additional monitoring of tracks and infrastructure is required during the hot weather.
As a result of the temporary speed limits, some passenger trains may arrive at their destinations later than scheduled.
Temiryo'lexpress urged passengers to take possible changes to train arrival times into account and asked for their understanding of the measures introduced to ensure the safety of railway operations.
