Uzbekistan Sweet Cherry Exports Exceed US$36.5 Million in Five Months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan exported approximately 16,800 tons of sweet cherries totaling US$36.5 million from January to May 2026, the National Statistics Committee reported.
Compared to the same period last year, the export volume decreased by 4,100 tons.
Russia was the largest importer of Uzbek sweet cherries during the reporting period, receiving 11,700 tons of the product.
Uzbekistan exported 2,600 tons of sweet cherries to Kyrgyzstan and 2,000 tons to Kazakhstan. Shipments to Belarus amounted to 135.3 tons, while the United Arab Emirates imported 116.7 tons. Approximately 140 tons of the product were exported to other countries.
In total, Uzbek sweet cherries were supplied to 11 foreign states during the first five months of 2026.
