Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Delegation Studies Business Support in Germany
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Republic of Uzbekistan is currently on a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany. The primary objective of the trip is to conduct a detailed study of advanced European experience in supporting the private sector, modernizing mechanisms for public-private interaction, and developing vocational education.
As part of a comprehensive business program, the Uzbek delegation held official negotiations with the leadership of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). This structure serves as the largest association of German business circles, representing the interests of over 3 million commercial companies through an extensive network of 79 regional chambers.
Concurrently, a meeting was held with representatives of the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA). The key topics of discussion during this meeting centered on the active participation of entrepreneurs in shaping state social and labor policies, as well as strengthening the institutions of social dialogue.
Of particular interest to the CCI delegation was familiarizing themselves with the activities of the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH). This organization consolidates around 1 million craft enterprises and annually coordinates the training of more than 340,000 students under Germany's dual education system. During the dialogue, the parties reviewed in detail the prospects and possibilities for adapting and introducing key elements of this German educational model in Uzbekistan to enhance the qualifications of local personnel.
Continuing the visit, the representatives of Uzbekistan visited the Trading House of the republic in Berlin, which officially performs the functions of the foreign representative office of the CCI in Germany. At the venue of the trade agency, the parties outlined steps for further expanding bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
The analytical materials and practical experience acquired during this foreign trip are planned to be utilized for the comprehensive improvement of the national entrepreneurship support system and the introduction of modern standards for conducting business in Uzbekistan.
