Uzbekistan to study experience of foreign states on processing of oil shale

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A working group for studying experience of commercial processing of oil shale at foreign enterprises has been created in Uzbekistan, RIA Novosti reported quoting source in the Uzbek government.

The group includes representatives of State Geology Committee, Uzbekneftegaz, Uzbekenergo, Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade, and the Government of Uzbekistan.

Members of the group are planning to visit foreign countries, including to Estonia and China, the agency reported.

Oil shale reserves of Uzbekistan are rated at 47 billion tonnes.
