Yahoo! Co-Founder Jerry Yang Invests in AI Startup Nace.AI

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Nace.AI, an artificial intelligence startup founded by natives of Kazakhstan and based in Silicon Valley, has secured an investment from Yahoo! co-founder and Alibaba board member Jerry Yang. The funding marks a significant milestone for the young technology company, validating the global competitiveness of IT solutions developed by talent from the Central Asian region.

Dos Bakytzhan, founder and CEO of Nace.AI, shared that the renowned American entrepreneur and billionaire was drawn to the company’s unique technological approach. Specifically, the startup focuses on building small, highly specialized AI models tailor-made for the corporate sector, rather than developing massive, general-purpose systems.

The investment decision was made directly during Yang's first two-hour meeting with the founding team, following a comprehensive analysis of the product, market competitors, and the startup's B2B strategy. According to the head of Nace.AI, Jerry Yang expressed readiness to provide a hard commitment and offered an amount that exceeded the target figures for the current financing round.

However, the startup capped the influx of funds based on its actual operational needs at this stage. This decision was made to preserve investment quotas for other strategic partners and prevent excessive dilution of the founders' ownership stakes.

The newly attracted resources will be channeled into the further development of Nace.AI's product lineup. The platform focuses on automating audits, financial analysis, compliance control, and real-time processing of massive corporate data streams.
