Uzbekistan to process 1.4m tonnes of raw cotton by 2021

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan is planning to increase processing of raw cotton up to 1.4 million tonnes by 2021, local news agency UzA reported.

The agency said that 50 enterprises of Uzpakhtasanoat Association will be reconstructed in 2015-2020. IN the result, the volume of processing of raw cotton will reach up to 1.4 million tonnes.

Within the approved investment programme, old technologies at ginneries in Mangit, Muzrabad and Bagat will be replaced to new ones.

Uzpahtasanoat Association currently unites 13 regional joint-stock association, about a hundred ginneries, Research Center Pahtasanoat and 34 specialized seed shops.
