Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Starting from 1 May 2025, citizens released from correctional facilities in Uzbekistan will be eligible to receive a one-time allowance equivalent to six basic estimated values. Currently, this amount stands at 2.2 million soums.
This measure is outlined in the presidential decree "On Improving the Financing Procedures of the Social Protection System." The allowance will be distributed through "Inson" centers.
Additionally, from 1 May 2025, the costs of medical treatment and surgeries in Uzbekistan will be covered by the State Health Insurance Fund.
