Uzbekistan starts electrification of railroad between Tashkent and Angren

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways) state joint stock company started to electrification of railway road from Tashkent to Angren.

Total cost of the project is US$85.395 million. The Uzbek railway operator attracted long-term credits of the government of Germany through KfW and government of Kuwait through Kuwait Arab Economic Development Fund.

The distance between Tashkent and Angren is about 100 km.
