Uzbekistan Soum Deposit Rates Fall to 17.6% in June

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The average nominal interest rate on national currency term deposits in Uzbekistan stood at 17.6% at the end of June 2026, down 2.1 percentage points compared to the same period last year, the Central Bank reported.

At the same time, amid the stabilization of inflationary processes, real interest rates on term deposits in soums remain at a relatively high level.

For individuals, the real interest rate reached 8.3%, which is 1.1 percentage points higher than in June 2025.

For legal entities, the figure stood at 4.9%, down 0.5 percentage points in annual terms.

The average nominal interest rate on term deposits in foreign currency was 4.5%, down 0.1 percentage points compared to June last year.
