Uzbekistan, SINOSURE Discuss Digital Transformation Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 May, the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, held talks with a delegation from China’s export credit agency SINOSURE, led by company head Shen Hetai.

During the meeting, the parties discussed digital transformation in Uzbekistan, the development of telecommunications infrastructure, the expansion of IT service exports, as well as mechanisms for financial and insurance support for technology projects.

The minister presented updates on reforms in the digital sector, the development of IT Park Uzbekistan, and the activities of the insurance company ALSKOM SUG‘URTA KOMPANIYASI, noting the formation of a favorable investment environment for the digital economy.

Special attention was given to the presence of Chinese technology companies, including Huawei, which are creating jobs for young professionals and contributing to the growth of digital service exports from Uzbekistan.

Representatives of SINOSURE outlined the corporation’s capabilities in export insurance, investment protection, and financial support for high-tech and telecommunications projects.

The parties exchanged views on the development of digital infrastructure, support for IT companies, and improving the quality of telecommunications services for the population.

Following the talks, the sides identified promising directions for further expansion of cooperation in digital technologies, telecommunications, and investment engagement.
