Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The share of Uzbekistan’s population aged 10 and above using the internet reached 97.3% in January–August 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Data from a sample household survey shows that the indicator has increased by 20.7 percentage points over the past five years. In 2021, internet use stood at 76.6% among the relevant age group.

The share of internet users continued to rise in subsequent years. It reached 83.9% in 2022, 89% in 2023 and 93.3% in 2024.

In 2025, the share of the population aged over 10 using the internet increased to 94.6%. During January–August 2026, the indicator rose by another 2.7 percentage points to 97.3%.

Overall, between 2021 and January–August 2026, the share of internet users among Uzbekistan’s population aged over 10 increased from 76.6% to 97.3%.
