Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Olimjon Abdullayev met Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Saad Nasser Abdullah Abu Haimed, to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation, including labour migration.

The meeting took place on 22 July 2026. The two sides reviewed the current state of Uzbekistan-Saudi Arabia relations and prospects for further expanding cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in consular and legal affairs, creating more favourable conditions for citizens of both countries, and developing practical cooperation in the field of labour migration.

The participants highlighted their interest in introducing digital solutions, improving the efficiency of consular services and enhancing cooperation mechanisms in the migration sector.

The two sides also discussed a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia. They agreed to further examine the proposals with the participation of the relevant government agencies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and steadily expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
