Mirziyoyev, Qatar Emir Discuss Strategic Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to discuss bilateral cooperation and the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

At the beginning of the conversation, Mirziyoyev highly praised the Qatari emir's efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.

The two leaders discussed ways to elevate the strategic partnership and broad-based cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar to a new level. They welcomed the growing political dialogue and the increasing number of exchanges at the highest and senior levels.

Following the conversation, the two sides agreed to take coordinated steps to further intensify political dialogue and accelerate the implementation of joint projects in the trade, economic and investment sectors.

Mirziyoyev and Sheikh Tamim also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming high-level engagements.
