Mirziyoyev, Erdogan Discuss Strategic Partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which the two leaders discussed the development of bilateral cooperation.
At the beginning of the conversation, Erdoğan congratulated Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being and continued success in his public duties.
The two sides noted with satisfaction that relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye have reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership and continue to develop dynamically across all areas.
During the conversation, they highlighted growth in bilateral trade, an increase in the number of joint ventures and regular flights, as well as the successful implementation of promising joint projects.
Particular attention was paid to cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The leaders noted the opening of Uzbekistan-themed facilities in Türkiye's Hatay province, as well as the participation of a high-level Turkish delegation in the International Maqom Art Festival in Namangan and the Forum of Islamic Civilisation.
The presidents also reviewed the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level and discussed the further advancement of major joint projects.
At the conclusion of the conversation, Mirziyoyev invited Erdoğan to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan.
