Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan received remittances for US$699 million from Russia in the third quarter of 2009. Uzbekistan leads on the volume of transactions among the CIS states.

The Bank of Russia said the Russian Federation received US$56 million remittances from Uzbekistan in the reporting period.

Tajikistan and Ukraine followed Uzbekistan. Tajikistan received US$569 million remittances from Russia, while Ukraine got US$382 million in the third quarter of 2009.

Uzbekistan also led on the average sum of one transaction. Average sum of transaction from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$699 and from Uzbekistan to Russia - US$1,508.

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, AziyaExpress, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Guta Sprint, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
