Uzbekistan presents poverty reduction model in Beijing
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A memorandum of cooperation was signed in Beijing between the Institute for Poverty Reduction and Employment Studies and the International Poverty Reduction Center in China.
The document was signed as part of the International Forum on Poverty Reduction and Development 2026, held in the Chinese capital.
Uzbekistan was represented at the event by First Deputy Minister for Poverty Reduction and Employment Marat Juraev and a group of assistants to regional governors.
During the forum, Marat Juraev delivered a presentation outlining Uzbekistan’s national model for poverty reduction.
The speech highlighted ongoing reforms aimed at increasing employment and household incomes, as well as the development of the mahalla system.
