Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abduaziz Akkulov, held talks with representatives of Pakistan’s business community. The meeting was also attended by a delegation led by the Executive Director of Habib Rafiq Ltd. (HRL Group), Abid Chima.
The main focus of the discussions was the development of bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector, as well as expanding investment ties and familiarizing Uzbek counterparts with the activities of major Pakistani companies.
During the negotiations, the sides exchanged views on several priority areas. These included the promotion of adventure tourism between tour operators of both countries, as well as the possibility of organizing international sporting events in Uzbekistan with participation from Bangladesh and India.
Special attention was given to the development of pilgrimage tourism, expansion of cooperation in the media sector, and implementation of investment projects involving the construction of modern hotels and entertainment parks in Uzbekistan with participation from Pakistani businesses.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their intention to intensify cooperation and further develop mutually beneficial collaboration in the tourism industry.
