Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan has alerted citizens to the risks of fraud when seeking employment abroad.
The agency notes that many offers of “easy work” or seasonal employment distributed online turn out to be scams, with the number of victims continuing to rise.
To ensure safe employment, the Agency recommends using only officially licensed employment agencies, carefully reviewing duties and rights before signing any contract, and confirming that the contract guarantees actual work — holding a visa alone does not ensure employment.
Any job offer can be verified by contacting the Migration Service at the short number 1282.
Additionally, the Agency strongly advises against using the services of consulting firms that do not have official authorization to facilitate employment abroad, as this helps save both time and money.
