Uzbekistan launches website about birds

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new website dedicated to birds – www.birds.uz – has been launched in Uzbekistan, the State Committee of Uzbekistan on nature protection said.

The website developers underlined that the resource should become a platform to exchange information on birds in Uzbekistan, promote bird-watching as one of attractive, secure and useful hobby.

The site also includes birds database, which will be updated on regular bases, the committee underlined.

According to State Bio Control of the State Nature Committee, over 4 million birds of 130 types annually migrate via Uzbekistan. About 460 types of birds are living in Uzbekistan on regular bases.
