Uzbekistan Launches Online License Plate Replacement
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has introduced the option of submitting online applications for the replacement of damaged vehicle license plates. The service is now available on the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services.
To use the service, applicants must log in to the my.gov.uz portal and select the option for replacing a damaged state license plate. Users are then required to complete an electronic form and upload a photograph of the damaged plate.
After the application is reviewed by the relevant authority, the applicant receives an invoice for payment. Once the payment is completed, the applicant must visit the designated territorial office, surrender the old license plate, and receive a new one.
The cost of the service is set at 4.5 base calculation units for a full set of license plates, including front and rear plates, equivalent to 1.854 million soums. Replacement of a single plate costs 2.25 base calculation units, or 927,000 soums.
Authorities note that clear images of the damaged license plate should be uploaded to ensure faster processing of applications.
