Uzbekistan Launches Central Asia 2026 Motorcycle Season
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan hosted the opening of the Central Asia Motorcycle Season 2026 on 1–2 May 2026, in an event organized jointly by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Central Asia Motorcycle Association.
The event was held for the third time and has become one of the key fixtures of regional motorcycle culture, annually attracting mototourists from Central Asian states and neighboring countries.
According to organizers, the project aims to develop the tourism sector, expand the range of events available to travelers, promote motorcycle sports among young people, and strengthen friendship and cooperation among countries in the region.
The initiative also plays an important role in promoting Uzbekistan as an attractive destination for different categories of tourists, including motorcycle travelers.
This year, Uzbekistan is serving as the chair of the Central Asia Motorcycle Association. More than 300 mototourists participated in the event. Among them were around 200 amateur and professional motorcyclists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Russia. Another 100 participants represented various cities and regions of Uzbekistan, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Kokand, Fergana, and Jizzakh.
A key highlight of the opening was a motorcycle parade through the streets of Tashkent, featuring columns of riders from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Russia. Participants rode with national flags, symbolizing the international nature of the event and the development of tourism cooperation in the region.
Organizers said the motorcycle season contributes to strengthening interregional ties and further increasing interest in Uzbekistan as a platform for international tourism and sports initiatives.
