Uzbekistan launches 21 textile enterprises in 2007

Total project capacity of these enterprises makes up 21,500 tonnes of cotton yarn, 5 million meters of gray cloth and 14.2 million units of ready-made garments and knit products. They can process 25,000 tonnes of cotton-fibre. Export potential of the enterprises estimated at US$82 million.

The projects were financed due to foreign direct investments.
