Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan will introduce fees from 7 November for cargo transhipped at Termez station for export to Afghanistan, as well as for goods delivered to Termez-Port station, Uzbekistan Railways reported.
The fees will depend on the transportation distance and type of cargo.
For goods transhipped at Termez and sent to Afghanistan, the fee will be charged per railcar. For certain types of cargo, excluding wheat, transported by rail over distances of 600 km or more, the fee will range from 800,000 to 1.3 million soums.
