Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Baraka has unveiled an updated version of its mobile application at the World Summit “Investing in Children’s Wellbeing: Towards Sustainable and Equitable Development for Future Generations.”

The service’s exhibition stand demonstrated the app’s features and how it works, attracting considerable interest from summit participants.

Visitors to the stand included Uzbekistan’s First Lady Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, chair of the Board of Trustees of the Zamin International Public Foundation; Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva, first deputy director of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan; Türkiye’s First Lady Emine Erdoğan and her daughter Esra Erdoğan Albayrak; Kyrgyzstan’s First Lady Aigul Japarova; Lebanon’s First Lady Nehmat Aoun; Azerbaijani public figure and Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva; and Karine Khabirova, wife of the head of Bashkortostan.

A redesigned interface for everyday needs

The Baraka card and mobile app combine access to social benefits, government services and everyday financial transactions. The updated app, featuring a redesigned interface, is scheduled for release on 3 November 2026.

Instead of a single feed, the home screen will feature two sections: “Finance” and “Social Services.” The new layout is intended to help users find the functions and services they need more quickly.

Two sections for different needs

The “Finance” section will allow users to check or hide their card balance, view their cards and transaction history, and make payments, QR payments and transfers.

The “Social Services” section will bring together information about social benefits and entitlements. Users will also be able to apply for services and track the status of their applications.

Accessibility settings

The updated version will include a dedicated “Accessibility” screen that allows users to adapt the app to their needs.

In “Low Vision” mode, people with reduced vision will be able to enlarge text, increase the contrast of interface elements, choose a light or dark theme, or use their device’s system settings.

A preview feature will show how the selected settings will appear on the home screen.

Social benefits and everyday services in one platform

More than 1.8 million people use the Baraka card, and over 500,000 receive social benefits on it each month.

Through the app, users can apply for more than 80 types of social services and benefits and access 19 types of documents in digital format. The card replaces five documents, including pension and student ID cards and disability identification.

The Baraka card is issued in partnership with Aloqabank and Xalq Bank. It operates on the Visa payment network and is accepted in Uzbekistan and more than 200 countries worldwide.

Users can also pay for public transport through the ATTO system, settle utility bills and make money transfers. The card is issued free of charge to people belonging to 16 social categories.

The development of Baraka is aimed at creating a single, convenient platform for accessing social benefits and services while managing everyday finances.

The app update is intended to make the service easier to understand and use.
