Uzbekistan increases grape exports to Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan increased exports of grapes to Kazakhstan by 1.6 times to 72,000 tonnes in 2012/2013 season.

In 2011/2012 season the volume of supplied grapes from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan made up 45,000 tonnes and in 2012/2013 season – 72,000 tonnes.

Uzbekistan supplied over 90% of grapes, imported to Kazakhstan in 2012/2013 season.

According to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan produced 810,000 tonnes of grapes in 2012, which rose by 12% year-on-year.
