JAZ and Banner Batterien Discuss Automotive Battery Output

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the Austrian company Banner Batterien, the joint-stock company JAZ, and the Uzeltehsanoat Association have discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of automotive battery production in Uzbekistan. The negotiations took place via videoconference at the initiative of the industry association.

The parties reviewed issues regarding the introduction of modern technologies, the implementation of joint projects, and the development of production oriented toward the Central Asian market.

During the meeting, the possibility of organizing the production of car batteries under the Banner brand at JAZ manufacturing facilities was discussed. In addition, the negotiators exchanged views on mastering production technologies for AGM batteries and lithium-ion batteries, technology transfer, technical support, as well as product supplies to the domestic market and export prospects to the CIS countries and Central Asia.

Representatives of JAZ presented information on the enterprise's current production capacities, localization opportunities, and ongoing investment projects.

In turn, representatives of Banner Batterien noted the potential of Uzbekistan's investment environment, the development of the automotive industry, and the prospects of the battery market, expressing interest in further expanding cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on technical and commercial issues, determine the subsequent stages of interaction, and maintain a constant working dialogue.
