Uzbekistan Holds Demo Day for Startups and Industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan held a Demo Day event to present startup projects to major industrial clusters, the agency reported.

Organized to mark the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, the event focused on developing the national startup ecosystem, introducing new support mechanisms, and showcasing innovation to large enterprises.

The primary objective was to establish practical cooperation between local startups and industrial groups, integrate innovative solutions into production, and attract investment to promising ventures.

About 40 startup creators presented business ideas and technologies to investors and corporate managers. Total attendance reached approximately 60 people, including investors, venture capital representatives, heads of major production clusters, and entrepreneurs.

Following the presentations, investors and industry executives reviewed selected projects to discuss financing, commercial implementation, and long-term partnerships.

Organizers described the Demo Day as a direct platform for dialogue between entrepreneurs, financial backers, and industrial entities. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by Uzbek authorities to strengthen the national innovation ecosystem, connect early-stage projects with large businesses, and expand access to capital.
