Uzbekistan gains INQAAHE membership in London
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the Education World Forum 2026 held in London, Uzbekistan’s National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education has officially become a full member of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
Full membership in the organisation is regarded as confirmation that Uzbekistan’s national accreditation system meets international standards in higher education quality assurance.
Officials note that participation in INQAAHE opens new opportunities for Uzbekistan’s education system, including enhanced international recognition of diplomas issued by accredited universities, expanded academic and professional mobility for graduates, and easier access to further education and employment abroad.
Membership is also expected to improve recognition of national accreditation results, increase participation of universities in international rankings and grant programmes, and expand external quality evaluation mechanisms.
In addition, the development will facilitate joint educational programmes with foreign universities, including dual-degree schemes, as well as broader student and faculty exchange initiatives.
The agency’s inclusion in INQAAHE will also enable the involvement of international experts in accreditation processes and support the professional development of national quality assurance specialists.
The move is seen as an important step in integrating Uzbekistan’s higher education system into the global academic space and strengthening its international competitiveness.
