Uzbekistan First Lady Meets Queen of Malaysia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, met with Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah of Malaysia, who is visiting the country.

The talks focused on the development of bilateral relations and strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

During the visit, the Malaysian Queen was introduced to examples of Uzbek applied arts, traditional handicrafts, national costumes and other elements of the country’s cultural heritage.

She was also provided with detailed information about the rich traditions and customs of the Uzbek people, reflecting the historical and cultural diversity of the region.

The meeting took place in a warm and open atmosphere, during which the sides discussed prospects for further strengthening friendly ties between the two countries.

Special attention was given to expanding cultural and humanitarian interaction, as well as developing contacts in the field of preserving and promoting national heritage.

The parties emphasized the importance of such meetings for strengthening mutual understanding and developing cooperation based on respect for the cultural traditions and historical ties of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
