Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and South Korea have agreed to expand cooperation in agricultural digitalization, livestock development and modern agricultural services. Joint projects were discussed during meetings with representatives of KOAMI, Jeonbuk Technopark and South Korean company TYM.

One of the projects will involve establishing a “Smart Livestock Farming” center in Tashkent region. It is planned to launch the center in 2028-2030. The facility is expected to introduce artificial intelligence-based monitoring systems, automated management, precision feeding and digital control.

The sides also discussed the digitalization of livestock farming and expanding the use of modern agricultural machinery. To develop human resources, training and professional development programs for 300 specialists are planned in South Korea.

Another area of cooperation involves testing methane-powered tractors. A joint project with TYM to use such machinery in agricultural services has already begun.

At the first stage, 37 tractors were provided to the Republican Agroservice company. Their performance will be studied over a two-year period.

Following the trials, the possibility of localizing production of the machinery in Uzbekistan will be considered.

The implementation of these projects is expected to contribute to the digital transformation of agriculture and improve the sector’s efficiency.
