Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan Discuss Pharmaceutical Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of government agencies and the business communities of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed prospects for cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, industrial cooperation and joint investment projects at the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum held in Bishkek.
As part of the forum, a panel session on healthcare and pharmaceuticals featured a presentation by a representative of Uzbekistan's Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry on the investment potential of the country's pharmaceutical sector.
Forum participants were briefed on investment projects being implemented in Uzbekistan, existing government support measures, the investment climate, opportunities offered by free economic zones, and reforms aimed at developing the pharmaceutical industry.
During the panel discussion, the parties also exchanged views on expanding Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan cooperation in pharmaceutical manufacturing, technology transfer and the implementation of joint projects.
