Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has cancelled a tender with an initial value of 10.3 billion soums for the procurement of automated traffic enforcement equipment after the Competition Committee identified signs of possible violations of competition law by the customer, Telecom Soft.

According to the committee, a review of the procurement procedure conducted on 12 October 2026 revealed indications of non-compliance with Article 29 of the Law on Competition.

The committee said the actions identified during the review could have restricted competition in the tender process.

The procurement was intended to acquire equipment for automated traffic monitoring and enforcement systems. Following the review, Telecom Soft voluntarily cancelled the selection procedure.

The Competition Committee said that identifying and preventing such violations was aimed at ensuring the efficient and transparent use of public funds and creating an open and fair competitive environment for businesses.
