Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Government of Uzbekistan and Wildberries have signed an investment agreement to implement a major infrastructure project in Tashkent region. Under the agreement, the company will build a modern multifunctional logistics complex. Wildberries’ press service reported this.
The new logistics hub will be located on a 67.3-hectare plot in the Bogzor mahalla of Zangiata district, Tashkent region. Design work has already begun, while construction is scheduled to start at the end of October 2026.
The investment agreement was signed between Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and Wildberries. Under the agreement, the company is committed to ensuring the timely commissioning of the logistics facility.
One of the project’s areas will be the creation of new jobs. According to Wildberries’ press service, around 7,500 jobs are planned to be created at the facility and in areas related to its operations.
The project will also include human capital development. At least 2,000 people are expected to undergo training through specialized educational programmes.
Particular attention will be given to promoting Uzbek products on international markets. Wildberries plans to support an increase in exports of locally produced goods.
The new logistics complex is expected to expand warehouse infrastructure in Tashkent region and create additional opportunities for promoting products made by Uzbek manufacturers in foreign markets.
Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin at the end of October this year.
