Uzbekistan attends consultations of SCO Foreign Ministries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 March 2012 the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in consultations among the ministries of foreign affairs within the SCO frameworks.

At the meeting, presided by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Cheng Guoping, the representatives of the SCO member and observer states as well as of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan exchanged their views on security issues in the SCO region.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation or SCO is an intergovernmental mutual-security organisation which was founded in 2001 in Shanghai by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
