Uzbekistan and Tuoren Group Discuss Medical Device Production

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Director of the Agency for Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry Abdulla Azizov held a meeting with representatives of the Chinese company Tuoren Group, the Xinjiang Medical Industry Association, and Xinjiang Yixun Medical Device Co., Ltd.

The parties discussed prospects for localizing the production of medical devices in Uzbekistan, attracting investment, and creating modern manufacturing capacity.

The Chinese side presented the experience and international potential of Tuoren Group in manufacturing medical equipment and consumables for anesthesiology, intensive care, and hemodialysis.

In particular, meeting participants considered the possibility of implementing joint projects for the production of hemodialysis equipment and consumables in Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Chinese side were also informed about the conditions created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, mechanisms to stimulate local production, and support measures for new investment projects.

The development of such cooperation is expected to create opportunities to reduce medical device imports, expand local manufacturing, and introduce modern medical technologies in Uzbekistan.
