Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An Uzbek delegation has discussed with Oman’s Voltamp Energy the possibility of establishing high-voltage transformer production in Uzbekistan and localising the manufacture of key components with the participation of Nura Group.

The talks took place during the delegation’s visit to Oman, the Uzeltехsanoat association reported.

The delegation included Bakhtiyor Khaydarov, director of the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement; Mirziyod Yunusov, chairman of the Uzeltеkhsanoat association; and representatives of industrial enterprises.

The delegation visited Voltamp Power SAOC’s plant in Sohar, where it reviewed high-voltage transformer manufacturing technologies, quality control systems and the company’s experience in localising components.

Following the visit, talks were held with Sayyid Aimen bin Hamad Al Busaidi, chairman of the board of directors of Voltamp Energy, and the company’s chief executive, Muhammad Ajmal Basha.

The visit followed a meeting between Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Al Busaidi on 16 October. At that meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation in solar energy and high-voltage transformer manufacturing.
