Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloev, held a meeting in Muscat on 1 July 2026 with the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman, Salim bin Musallim Qatan. The parties discussed prospects for developing interparliamentary cooperation and expanding bilateral ties.

During the talks, special attention was paid to strengthening political dialogue, developing trade, economic, and investment interaction, as well as expanding cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on supporting the activities of interparliamentary friendship groups, developing the exchange of experience in the field of lawmaking, and strengthening people's diplomacy.

In addition, the sides reviewed other matters of mutual interest for the further development of Uzbek-Omani cooperation.
