Uzbekistan Showcases Investment Opportunities in Muscat

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A roundtable dedicated to the trade, economic, and investment opportunities of Uzbekistan took place in Muscat on 30 June 2026. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, about 30 leading companies, and heads of other organizations.

The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloev, the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs of Oman, Khalifa al-Harthi, and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Muscat, Abdusalom Khatamov, addressed the participants with welcoming speeches.

During the event, specific proposals were presented to expand trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Oman. The investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, along with the existing incentives and opportunities for foreign investors in the country, were also presented to the participants.

Within the framework of the roundtable, a certificate appointing Siham al-Harthi, the Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and head of Siham Development and Investment, as the Tourism Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman was presented.
